COVID Email Scam – Please be aware

Dear Patient

As you know we have now started giving out COVID Vaccinations to patients who want them.  You will be contacted directly by either the Surgery or Hospital and offered a vaccine.  This is being done under NHS guidelines and we are starting with the most vulnerable and elderly first.

This will take time and don’t worry if you haven’t been contacted yet, all our patients will be contacted as and when it is you turn.

In the meantime, we have been made aware of a local resident receiving an email asking them to register their interest in the COVID vaccination by visiting a link and entering their details.

Everything looked like a legitimate NHS website but she got suspicious when they asked for bank details to confirm her address.

Please be aware you will never be asked to give bank details by us or NHS England.  This is certainly not needed for the COVID Vaccine.  Your COVID Vaccine if you wish to have it will be at no cost to you.  Any emails received that ask for bank details from the NHS please ignore and delete.  We have all your details on our records so we would not ask for any details also.  We believe this email to be a scam.
